Super Mario 64 has to be one of my all time favourite games! As a 15 year-old I was mesmerised by the 3D worlds but I also recall Wet-Dry World having a ‘negative aura’. Technically clever, I actually found the level quite boring compared to some of the other worlds, but boy – that sky!

It’s interesting how the different elements you describe, such as music and colour, can shape negative biases, yet on the contrary, they add an aspect of mystery which can evoke some people’s curiosity.
